The Navy Model RBM Series Semi-Portable Radio Receiving Equipments are primary intended for use in portable service. This service is usually involves transportation over and use in rough and wet country. In addition, the equipment are suitable for many varied applications to which radio receiving units may be put by the Naval service. This equipment is particulary intended for use with complete radio transmitting equipment of the portable type. In this type of service, it becomes an integral part of a radio transmitting (normally TBW) and receiving station at an advanced base.
