The Fialka ( means Violet - Flower in Russian ) is a fantastic cipher machine that developed and used by the Russians in the cold-war era. Introduced around 1965 and have been used until the early 90’s. Many country in the Varsav Pact used this cipher machine. Different type of wheels used from East German, Poland, Czechoslovakia ect. At the moment I know that the 3K serie used from Poland, the 4K serie from DDR ex East Germany and the 6K from Czechoslovakia. Fialka has 10 rotors mounted in axle with 30 contacts. Normally the western machine use 26 contact but in this case we are in presence of the Cyrillic alphabet. The Fialka has a separate power supply and can operate with 24 VDC or 100 to 250 VAC 50 - 400 Hz.
