Radio Set SCR-206  BC-470 is a portable radio direction finder for ground use. It employs  nine tubes in a superheterodyne circuit. The frequency range of 200 to 18.000 kc. is covered in eight bands.

- Band 1     200 – 360     kc.

Amplitude-modulated waves can be received using either manual or automatic r-f gain control. Circuits are provided in the set for talking over a goniometric intercept telephone line and for comparing  the signals from the radio set with those on the line. The set is powered by a six-volts storage battery and employs a dynamotor to supply the high-voltage circuits. The power consumption of the set is 46 watts.
